Psilocybin Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-30
Psilocybin and psilocin are Schedule III controlled substances under Canada's Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA). MushroomGuide.ca does not publish any content related to the cultivation, sourcing, dosing, or use of psilocybin-containing mushrooms — including content framed as historical, harm-reduction, or "educational." Requests for such content will be declined.
Why this policy exists
Psilocybin and psilocin are listed as Schedule III substances under the Canadian Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. Possession, production, trafficking, importing, exporting, and (in most cases) cultivation are criminal offences.
Even content framed as "harm reduction," "educational," "historical," or "informational only" creates legal and platform-policy exposure that is incompatible with this site's mission. We have made the decision not to publish any such content — full stop.
What we will not publish
- Cultivation methods, recipes, or technique guides for any psilocybin-containing species
- Substrate, sourcing, or spore-print information for psilocybin mushrooms
- Dosing, microdosing, trip-sitting, or extraction information
- Reviews of psilocybin products, kits, spore vendors, or therapy clinics
- Personal-use, experience, or "trip report" content
- Lists of psilocybin-containing species or how to identify them in the wild
If you are looking for that information
We will not point you to it.
Editorial enforcement
This policy is enforced at the editorial level and is also encoded in the content guidelines used by everyone who writes for the site — including any AI assistant. Posts that violate this policy will be rejected before publication.
